It’s hard to believe this little peanut is one year already! Julia’s parents came to me when they were pregnant for their first session. At that time they only had dreams about what parenting would be like but fast forward a year they’re celebrating so many beautiful moments along the way having her in their lives.

This session was by far my favorite one! Julia’s smash cake seriously topped the charts in cuteness. When I tell you she dug in, she dug in and was covered in buttercream frosting and so was the dockside! I love that her cubby little leggies were knee deep in frosting and still those floral tutu ruffles stood clean of frosting on the bum for a few detail shots.

Julia looks so much like her dad and her expressions are totally Jorge just based on working with them so much! She makes me giggle as she watches my every move behind the camera – nothing will get by her later in life and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that – one day she’ll be a mom too and it’ll pay off fully 😉 That night during her session she was nearly walking already and we almost thought she’d take right off during some of the images as you could tell she was just waiting for the right time to show off her skills. One thing I noticed is that when her parents called for her she would get so excited and also really focus on what they were saying… you can tell they have such a sweet bond together.
