I am a children and family photographer shooting the Land O’Lakes, Spring Hill and surrounding Tampa areas. I have been heavily photographing Tampa Bay area families for the last 4 years and have captured hundreds of smiling families behind my lens.

Take a look at my beautiful friend Amy and her gorgeous little family.

I met Amy about eight years ago through my husband and he told me – you have to meet Amy she’s awesome. Who is this girl I thought… but sure enough, I met Amy and she truly is awesome. She’s the kind of friend who hugs you tight every time, she understands your happy moments along with your struggles and most important she sleeps on a cold hospital floor as I go into deliver my first born. She’s been on such a wild ride of friendship with me and I’m grateful for her – period.

So a few years ago Amy meets Adam. Whoa… who is this guy my friends so smitten with I thought!!! So… finally I got to spend some time with Adam as their photographer (yes I met him in quick passings at least). This was his birthday gift to Amy as they were buying a home together and goodness she wanted photos above all else. So, I am to please – picked one of my favorite spots in Land O’Lakes and prep her on what to wear… you know the typical photographer recommendations and super important advice as you inch closer to your family session.

I won’t lie – Amy and I are close but life happens… there’s sports and school projects and photo sessions to do for me so we don’t see one another as much… hence why it took a photo session to meet this man in her world for more than a birthday party or run in while out 😉

So anyway, all planning done – we meet up it’s a gorgeous night for photos and the field we used looked on fire with how the light hit. Amy and Adam were such a photogenic pair that I left knowing he was the right fit for her and Gabe. Great with her son, loving and attentive to Amy, sense of humor, didn’t give me the typical I hate photos male vibe { you know it’s true gents lol }… check. check. check. Came home and seriously still swooning over this gorgeous family session that seriously had it all including the perfect subjects and love behind my lens. I should also point out that sweet Gabe is growing into such a handsome young man and he’s no longer a little boy when we met. He’s a pretty cool dude to hang with I can’t deny.

So, here’s the proof we came, we saw and we conquered… and just a month later Adam proposed and she said YES!!!!! Stay tuned to see what’s next for them… and maybe I’ll mark some more memories along the way?
