I love when I meet new clients and we instantly click and form a fun connection. Choosing the right photographer for your family can be difficult if you don’t know what you’re looking for. My recommendation as Tampa Natural Light Family Photographer would be to find someone’s style who speaks to you. Don’t just look in one place – explore their recent Facebook work and browse their website. You want a photographer who’s going to create a real bond that shows off the naturalness of your family. You want someone who puts you at ease in front of the camera and allows you to focus on being in the moment instead of stressing the details we photographers should tune into. Having photographed hundreds of families in the Land O’ Lakes area this family is one of my favorites. We had so much fun capturing Harpers sweet little baby personality and her happy grins really spoke to my camera during the session.

So Emily and Jason came to me by referral. It was Harper’s first Christmas so there was much to celebrate – including their first real family photos as a family of three! I was so happy to be their chosen children and family photographer in Land O Lakes – we picked a date and started talking about what to wear. I’m really digging how popular gray has become and for this session it was absolutely no exception. Traditionally people always love red for the holidays… but I personally like touches of read that doesn’t take away too much from the face. They nailed their wardrobe and surprisingly Harper kept that headband in check the whole session. How many girl moms can say their daughters didn’t hate a headband!?! I always giggle because they are so cute but a lot of babies are pulling at it wondering “hey what’s this thing”.
